Original Concept:
A Rigid boxset to resemble a ‘Wardrobe’ 2 doors open and reveal a set of drawers and individual Perspex handles on the drawers. These were butterflies, Roses and Piano Keys. All drawers lined in print and had the addition of satin ribbon to extract CD’s. Each drawer also represents an album, different ages in the Artist’s career & famous songs.
Final product:
Due to budgetary constraints the handles were not progressed – the main reason being extortionate tooling charges for the individual designs as well as leadtimes to produce.
The boxset was simplified to meet the required budget. But was extremely well engineered to resemble a wardrobe and did not lose the qualitative aspect of the original brief.
