The Concept
We designed a tower box that had 4 open sides to hold the cd carton wallets which sat in individual vaccum formed racks. The whole tower was covered by a high quality carton sleeve (open top & bottom end) and each sleeve was individually numbered.
The brief was to have the singles presented in chronological order & to have the titles visible on the actual tower packaging graphics (so you read the box to know which cd to extract to listen to). All 4 sides and book cavity had to be sealed hence the sleeve, so that cd wallets did not fall out in transit.
We do not believe that any other rigid box packaging supplier could have realized this luxury boxset to the high standard of design construction and quality in which they were delivered.
The Final Product:
- 9,800 boxsets made and delivered. (LFB delivered earlier than promised)
- Stringent quality controls and checkpoints throughout all stages of production. LFB ‘staged’ mock production lines to check efficiency, potential bottle-necks & quality issues of manufacturing.
- The tower held 250 Cd singles plus a book & is said to be the largest singles collection in the world! The complete pack with components inside weighed 13 kilos and came with a weight hazard warning on it.
